Nationally recognized photographer, Zorah Olivia, just moved to Durham! We had to talk to her:

You moved to Durham! What does Durham have that LA doesn't?

I just moved in with my amazing girlfriend and I love it here in Durham so far! Hmm, I'd say Durham definitely has better BBQ than LA!

What skateboarding locations in the Triangle are you most excited about?

I haven't found any spots on my own yet but the guys from Manifest Skate Shop have been taking me out to shoot photos! I trust that they know what's best around here.

Who'd you love to photograph here in the Triangle?

I recently shot photos for Sylvan Esso's new record label, Psychic Hotline! I would love to shoot with them more as well as other artists under their label. I want to focus more on portrait and music photography in this new chapter of my life! Skateboarding will always be there, and it's still my driving force, but I feel a pull towards other mediums too.

What technology do you wish was already invented?

Teleportation would be nice! I've been flying to LA a lot recently. How great would it be to just teleport to places instantly instead of sitting on a plane all day? Time travel would be rad too.

What's friendship to you?

That gut feeling telling you that you can trust them, rely on them, and also know that even if you don't talk everyday, they'll still always love you.
