Durham streetwear business, LABOOSH, released new t-shirts with skateboarder Tyler Tomasic’s images (see below). To steal Laboosh designers’ description of Tyler, we talked to “the gnarliest dude in Durham”:
If you could change the ending to any movie, which one would it be and how would you change it?
This is a hard one but the movie ending I would change would probably be the Titanic. I just don't get why Jack couldn't get on the door with Rose.
Who are you voting for in 2024?
I'm gonna vote for who I always vote for- Optimus Prime. Who else will protect us from the Decepticons.
Have you ever regretted a fashion choice you made?
I can only think about one time I made the mistake of skating in jeans that had no stretch. They ripped in half when I squatted on a low landing. I regret that because they were cool jeans.
What is the silliest thing you have ever done in the name of love?
This might not be exactly what this question was getting at, but it made me think of my mom’s reaction to one of my tattoos that says “T corner”. She just doesn’t get it. Well, this was the rationale behind the ink: It was Taylor's birthday, so Taylor, Trevor, and I all got the "T corner" tattoo from Maddy, all for the love of skating at Curly's ramp.
If you had to choose between being extremely tall or extremely short, which would you choose and why?
I guess extremely tall, but only because maybe then I could be half the man Andre The Giant was.
