If you could fly, where would you fly right now? I actually can fly. Jazz singers are like that. Music gives me wings to move through my imagination.
What is your greatest extravagance? Time for myself with chocolate.
When do you feel most like yourself? I love to cook. Making something nourishing is a way of expressing my love and creativity. The kitchen is my happy place. But really, I almost always feel like myself.
If you could text the President what would your message be? Let us be guided by kindness first and foremost!
City or country living? Both.
What's your go-to karaoke song? I’ve never done Karaoke. I’m having too much fun singing.
A book you cannot wait to read? My son Pierce Freelon's Daddy Daughter Day.
What virtue is overrated? No virtue is overrated if it is truly an authentic part of one’s self.
What's your favorite vintage car? I’m not so into cars.
What's love? Love is a mysterious force that we dwell in, but did not create.
