We asked Jeghetto:
What are your hobbies? My hobbies are learning and cooking. I'm constantly listening to online seminars and documentaries while working in my workshop. I enjoy cooking for people too. It feels good to see people enjoy something that I cooked.
Vertical or horizontal stripes? Horizontal lines. Vertical lines remind me of pinstripes and prison bars. Not a fan of either.
What do you collect? I actually don't collect anything. I'm not a fan of clutter.
What would you want to have with you on a desert island? My family. They would be awesome to have on an island.
What was your favorite school subject? My favorite was art class. I had an art teacher in High School who took me under his wing. Mr. Sobeleski was his name. He was like a father figure to me. He taught me a lot about visual art.
Which is your favorite book or story? My favorite book at the moment is The Autobiography of Frederick Douglass. My favorite story is The Matrix Trilogy.
Earliest memory of Durham? My earliest memory of Durham is setting up a tent for my wife at the Durham Craft Market back in 2006.
What do you consider the most important piece of furniture in a house? THE BED.
Which historical figure would you like or have liked to meet? The man that I would have loved to meet would have to be Malcolm X. His journey has a major impact on who I am today.
What is love? Love is an action and a commitment. In a relationship, once the emotions and raging hormones die down and you're still willing to take care of that person, that's love. A parent's love for a child is a whole different ball game. Nothing compares to that.
